Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the University of Illinois Saxophone Studio Website!
Here you will find our current studio roster, select recordings by current and former members of the studio (as well as myself), prospective student and audition information, and many other useful resources.
Located in Champaign-Urbana IL, the University of Illinois Saxophone Studio is regarded as one of the top studios in the United States, with prospective students coming from within the United States and abroad. Current and past students have won national and international awards and graduates have gone on to become world-class performers and teachers around the world. The studio's first CD, "Debra Richtmeyer and the University of Illinois Saxophone Studio", released by Mark Records, was selected for the 2011 Grammy Award Entry List. Internationally renowned saxophonist, Jean-Marie Londeix reviewed it as, "Remarkable... Impeccable playing... proof one more time of her talents (including that of the conductor) and of the excellence of her teaching... "
Teaching and making music are my passion and I am proud to say that the University of Illinois Saxophone studio is a tight-knit family. I hope that you enjoy our website and find the information provided helpful and informative. Visit us often as we continue to expand our offerings and links.
