Jillian Schiele

Jillian Schiele is currently a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studies under Professor Debra Richtmeyer and Evan Clark. Jillian plays tenor saxophone in the UI Wind Orchestra and is a member of the Marching Illini. She is also the professional development chair of the Sigma Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota and participates in the local chapters of the National Band Association and the National Association for Music Education. She is also a James Scholar and has volunteered through the School of Music at the Illinois Marching Band Championships and Illinois Superstate Concert Band Festival.
 
Jillian graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where she won the John Phillip Sousa Band Award, was drum major of the Marching Titans, and was principal alto in the Wind Ensemble. She was also a member of the District X All-District Wind Ensemble, District X Honors Jazz Band, Northern Virginia Youth Winds, the Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and the 2015 All-Virginia Concert Band.
